Ding-ding-ding! You are correct! I made 45 pounds (or a bit over 20 kilos) of tomato sauce at work this week! Took me a day and a half to do since it had to be split into lots of little batches...but I did it!

Not quite the same as Sushi's little pixel Sams, but I like to think mine are still cute!

Yeah, lot of tomato sauce... I work for a flavor company. One of our current 'standard' demos showcases a variety of types of tomato flavors. In a very basic tomato sauce base. So...guess who got to make all 11 batches of sauce for some upcoming demos? At least I only had to make three batches of the base, then split them into smaller batches to flavor. So I didn't actually can off the full 45 pounds...but dogarnit, I made it and I'm counting it!

However, there is the distinct possibility that I will be making another 39 pounds or so next week for a different sort of demo that also happens to be in a tomato sauce base. Joy...

Fun? No, not so much. But at least I didn't wind up wearing it this time.

And a cold delayed the arrival of the pixel Sam. I plan to get back to work on him tonight actually, now that I'm starting to feel better and less run down. So, back to wrestling with wing feathers tonight then!
