Samanayrs

I'm sure we all have a favorite dog breed or two, and wouldn't you love to see one of your favorites as a Samanayr canine mimic?

This draw will be open until April 28, 11am PDT/18:00 PI time. At that time I'll randomly select one or two winners and draw their mimics live in a Ustream! In addition, I'll be holding another draw (using these same forms) for everyone who drops by the stream, although I'll be drawing that Sam once the stream is over. You'll still be in the initial draw even if you can't make the stream

Rules and info!

- There is a limit of one entry per person.
- Please enter on PI or the Sam forum, not both places.
- Everyone who enters the draw will get a chance to win, but if you visit the Ustream you'll get an extra chance!
- Dog breeds aren't limited, you can use the same breed as someone else. Domestic breeds only, though!
- 'Preferred coloration' is a color set this breed tends to come in, not specific colors and markings. So, you could request a Shiba Inu mimic with black-and-tan coloration, but not a Shiba Inu mimic with a small black mask on the face, two white dots above each eye, one white leg, etc.
- Links to example photos would help!
- If you'd prefer, you can try for a feline mimic rather than a canine mimic. Just don't tell the canines

Oh how fun! Quick question though, is it strictly dogs or could we request a feline? I know most cat breeds aren't as distinct as dog breeds but I was just curious

The first picture is as close as I could find to a dog we had growing up, Holly. The second picture is to better illustrate the tail. I hope non purebreds are acceptable! If not, I would like to echo Yuiven above for a golden/buff cocker spaniel. We had two of those!

Congrats guys! We've got a gorgeous bunch of lively mimics here! And all named according to the nature of the species they mimic it looks like. I just want to cuddle Hunter forever...so fluffy!

Oh goodness! They're all so cute, I love the scruffy look on Guardian! But oh what a treasure my lovely little Hunter is! So silky and fluffy and those gorgeous golden eyes! I'm so glad I made it to the stream yesterday . Thanks so much Sushi, and congratulations to the other winners!

Wrangler of the Errant Herd .... It's such a cute name TAT and that FACE it is SO CUTE eee... eeeeeeeeeeeee I might explode! Is all so cute!

Wrangler has the cutest expression- paws down. XD I LOVE his name and coloring! Congrats to all of you! I also love Hunter purely based on his Maine-Coon-ness. Guardian's face is so scruffy, and Eleven's beagle is just adorable!

Oh WOW! They're all so beautiful! Hah hah. If there's another Beauty Pageant contest, I think Hunter is a shoe-in for most beautiful eyes and possibly even Best in Show! XD

And yay! My internet was being mean, so I didn't get to continue talking to all you fun peeps, but I still got the chance to win my pretty Guardian here! *snuggles mare* So scruffy!

Awww, what a pack of cuties! <3 We can immediately recognize which dog (and cat) breeds these Samanayrs are based on, and it's neat that they all are named in accordance to the nature of the breed they mimic. Congratulations to the winners!

Bugle is adorable incarnate! How could anyone resist that Beagle's face? Just look at it. ^.^ She seems to be very interested in who you are and if she can come out to play.

As is proper for an Australian Cattle Dog, Errant is a good-looking fellow who displays a strong sense of drive and movement from his pose-- it's as if he's going to try to herd some dragonets. I also like how the salt-and-pepper look in his fur was achieved by using the white gel pen on top of black coloured pencil.

Noble, pleasant, and scruffy, Guardian has all of these qualities; in addition to how she was drawn, this canine-mimic gives a believable impression of height, which is an important aspect of the Irish Wolfhound's renown.

Last but most definitely not least, as the lone feline mimic, Hunter stands out beautifully. Those tabby markings are so well done; they come across as quite realistic, patterns you could find on any cat in real life. Now I just want to have her laying in my lap, where I could run my fingers through the maine coon's fluffy fur!

You might want to consider drawing dogs more often, Sushi, because you're just as great at drawing them as you are at equines. (Before anyone starts to make presumptions, that wasn't a subtle hint to draw more Oquiesas-- it's a genuine compliment! XD;)
